Abstract

Islamic economic thought in the Abbasid Empire has its own uniqueness compared to the era before and after it. This article explains the uniqueness of Islamic economic thought during the Abbasid period and its relevance to development in the archipelago. The method used is qualitative with literature study and Islamic economic history approach. The results of the search on this topic found that the uniqueness of Islamic economics in the era of the Abbasid Empire was in the country's public financial policy. The state budget was relatively stable because the strategic program carried out by the state at that time was the development of scientific intellect, not like the previous era (the Umayyad Empire) which carried out a massive futuhat, although the futuhat in this Abbasid era still existed.
