Implementation of Quality Management in the Production Process of MSMEs : Literature Review

Abstract

MSMEs are a strategic driver of economic growth in maintaining the availability of goods and absorption of labor. But unfortunately, in the efforts to develop small and medium enterprises, some UMKM owners are still unable to implement quality management in their production processes. This study aims to determine which theory is appropriate to be applied or implemented in MSMEs to improve the quality of UMKM production. This study uses the literature review method and based on the classification of several journals, it is found that the right theory to be applied to MSMEs is ISO 9001 and quality control.
