Abstract
The period of the Umayyads (661-750 AD) became a silent witness to the golden era of international trade in Islamic history. This progress was based on territorial expansion, pro-trade policies, and scientific advances. This article examines international trade during the Umayyad era with the qualitative and systematic methods of IMRAD. Information is taken from sources in library books, articles that have been published in journals, and assistance from ChatGPT. The results of the study show that the driving factors for the progress of international trade during the Umayyad period include the expansion of the territory, pro-trade policies, and the advancement of science. The extensive trade network connects various international regions and has a positive impact on the economy and Islamic civilization.
