Abstract

This study examines the concepts of halal and thayyib in the context of modern economic production and consumption. Through qualitative methods with the approach of literature study and content analysis, this research explores the development of the meaning of halal and thayyib, its implementation in various industrial sectors, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced in the global era. The results of the study show that the concept of halal and thayyib has evolved from just the halal status of food to a comprehensive ethical principle in the entire production and consumption chain. This research also reveals that there are variations in interpretation and implementation in various countries, as well as the important role of technology in the development of the halal economy. The optimal implementation of the halal and thayyib concepts requires synergy between government regulations, industrial innovation, consumer education, and the development of international standards in a halal and thoyyib system, namely the Islamic economic system
