Tourism Development Strategy to Improve Community Economy in New Normal (Case Study in Bale Tani Agrotourism)

Abstract

Bale Tani Agrotourism is a tourist spot that is again loved by tourists located on Jl. Dr. Soetomo, Serning Hamlet, Banjaragung Village, Bareng District, Jombang Regency. Bale Tani Agrotourism has many advantages as a family tourist spot, because it is not only to relieve fatigue but also provides education for children. The very rapid development has a positive impact both social and economic in the lives of the surrounding community. However, when the pandemic came, Bale Tani Agrotourism was temporarily closed and some employees had to be laid off. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive method. The research subject is Bale Tani Agrotourism. The object of the research is the concept of developing Bale Tani Agrotourism in improving the community's economy in the new normal. In collecting data, the researcher digs up some information from various media sources and goes directly to the field, describes and constructs the existing reality and then draws conclusions. The purpose of this study was to find out the strategies that were carried out to rise from the economic downturn when the pandemic occurred. Bale Tani Agrotourism prioritizes health protocols to provide a sense of security and comfort for visitors in the new normal period to attract visitors.
