Abstract

This study aims to uncover the problem of national food security due to the threat of the free market in Indonesia. Research is a literature study with information sources obtained through documentation from scientific journals and credible news sources. After the information is collected, it is then selected, sorted and selected according to its accuracy on the research topic. The last step is information analysis by describing the inference of existing information. The results of this study show that the Islamic economy is able to become a solution to the problem of national food security. The way the Islamic economy is the solution to this problem is by being implemented by the state. The state can be independent of free market hegemony to turn to Islamic economic politics in the agricultural sector.
