Peningkatan Literasi Permodalan Syariah Berbasis Syirkah Melalui Forum Diskusi Akademik Bersama HIPMI Syariah Yogyakarta

Abstract

MSMEs play a strategic role in Indonesia's economy yet continue to face obstacles in accessing capital. Meanwhile, growing awareness among the Muslim community regarding Sharia-compliant transactions has created a demand for financing models that are not only free from riba (usury) but also embody principles of fairness and partnership. This community service initiative was conducted through the KKN (Student Community Service) and Advance Management Entrepreneur Leadership Training (A-MELT) program, aiming to enhance Sharia capital literacy and explore business practitioners' perspectives on implementing the syirkah (partnership) concept in the business world. The activity comprised presentations, discussions, and sharing sessions with members of HIPMI Syariah Yogyakarta. Participants included 10 students, two supervising lecturers, one program advisor, and four HIPMI Syariah members. The results indicate that business practitioners view syirkah as an ideal concept due to its emphasis on partnership and risk-sharing principles. However, its implementation faces various challenges, including the perception that Sharia financing is more expensive, limited investor and entrepreneur literacy regarding risk-sharing mechanisms, and the dominance of practical considerations in business decision-making. These findings suggest that developing the Sharia economy requires a more inclusive approach through the creation of an ecosystem that integrates education, mentoring, and collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
